Pirate art process [1989-1990]
The "PIRATE ART PROCESS” makes use of existing images (stored on ink ribbons) and focuses on the role of the copy in today's society while provoking the questioning of the term originality in an artistic context. These ink ribbons contain fragments directly reflecting momentary situations of society. Through their usage, the viewer becomes part of the story. The artist may thus realize that his solitary role becomes questionable and is perhaps no longer needed. What is the origin of these taken images, who made them, when and why?
